Creative Flow Workshop Themes
Creative Flow is designed to support a variety of needs. It can be a stand-alone workshop to rejuvenate creative practice or structured within Brand Development sessions that precede logo design, print initiatives, or website work. In this process, we engage with themes that allow you to slow down to reflect and tune-in to inspiration. It is designed to help you focus on one or more of the following:

Embody — Integrate formative insights for new or existing themes that shape the work you bring to the world

Creativity Practices for Developing Brands
Let’s Bring Deep Attention to Your Best-Loved Ideas
Shape Your Foundational Vision
Creative Flow is for creative professionals, artists, business owners, and organization leaders who want to reframe and deepen creative process, creative initiatives, and/or brand identities. This process breaks up habitual multitasking tendencies that are amplified by screen time. It shifts important process work into a space that allows you to reclaim movement and breath, and promotes an open, imaginative mindset. These sessions are great for idea generation, thinking through new offerings, or and laying groundwork for authentic narratives that reveal the unique story of your offering, creative pursuit, or brand.
Inspire Creative Thinking & Connect With Nature
Creative Flow reconnects us with natural rhythms while walking in nature (when conditions allow) followed by journaling insights and creative processes. In this process, we connect off-screen, indoors or outdoors, in a nature setting to expand creative-thinking, focus ideas, or deepen origin stories. Creativity exercises activate different ways of thinking to bring more flow to your developing ideas. This deeply connective session work explores the foundational fabric that shapes your business or initiative.
Creative Flow sessions help you connect, discover, engage, and visualize so that whatever you (or we) create next is energized and imbued with intention.

“I have always known what I love to do but recently was stuck on seeing where that could take me. After a rewarding and successful career, I was ready to set a new goal for myself but I was struggling on what that could be or how I wanted to get started. Creative Flow was exactly the experience I needed to open my mind, dig deeper into myself, and discover some new pathways. The guidance Karen provided from her knowledge and experience, and the natural setting, enabled me to see things more clearly and be more creative in thinking about where I could go next. ”
Why I Developed This Method
Walking, being in nature, and journaling have been an integrated part of my own creative processes for as long as I can remember. I created a framework to bring these methods to my clients to enliven creative and foundational development processes. For over two decades, I have worked with inspired people, small business owners, and organizational leaders in brand and story development and creative initiatives including: logo design, visual identity, print materials, publication design, and websites. I am honored to build trust and partnership with clients in order to support them in their visions to create their life-work.
Nature-Based & Research-Based
Walking and moving while engaged in free-flowing ideation are scientifically proven to promote creative thinking. Visualization increases motivation and activates the area of the brain that helps you set intentions. Gestural movement has been shown to improve recollection of autobiographical events and narratives, and connection to nature and forest-bathing reduces stress and improves mood. These core concepts are integrated into the framework of Creative Flow sessions.
