EVERYTHING WORKING TOGETHER

A Collaborative Approach

Developing Brands & Leading Creative Initiatives

A Leader Who Listens

Design for the Arts provides brand development and creative campaigns for print, Web, and online initiatives. Brand developer and graphic designer Karen Kopacz partners with small business entrepreneurs and forward-thinking leaders to strategically and creatively accomplish goals. Karen works collaboratively with clients to design a plan that fits their unique needs and budget.

Strategic & Creative

This is where brand stewardship, strategic creative planning, and design and illustration merge. Karen partners with you to develop your brand and bring goals into alignment with visuals and storyline throughout creative initiatives. This creative support is uniquely customized to you and your budget, so that your brand evolves and remains cohesive as your business grows.

Who I Work With

Design for the Arts clients are community builders, culture shifters, industry disrupters, slow culture innovators, artists, craftspeople, writers, magazine makers, environmental stewards, nature-based organizations, and leaders in the arts.

20 Years of Creative

For over 20 years, Karen has managed projects small and large, from designing logos, brochures, booklets, packaging, and magazines to strategic brand development, creative direction, and as a consulting partner for project planning and project management.

What I’ve Been Working On

Sustainable Landscape Restoration Program

This spring and summer, I worked with the Met Council to design communications materials for the Sustainable Landscape Restoration Program. I created a suite of hand-drawn illustrations, templates for their program materials, and permanent interpretive signs that will be installed at lift station sites throughout the Twin Cities region.

See the hand-illustrated interpretive sign design in Signs & Displays.
